Saturday 23 Feb - by Popular demand, AFC will be hosting the Annual Poker Run. One of the reasons this event is so popular is that the whole family or friends can join in the fun too as it is not just a flying related event. More details below on how the poker run works.

We would like to start the briefing at 8am.

Please respond as soon as possible if you would like to take part and request aircraft booking if necessary. A braai will follow the event, so please indicate the number of people that will be attending with you.

FORMAT:

1. Everyone who participates whether as a passenger or crew puts R50 into a kitty (The Pot).

2 . At the Briefing / start of the flight, everyone draws a card out of a full deck of cards! You keep it on your person!

3. Leg Number 1 - Fly to a destination eg 20 - 30 minutes away Land, switch off and off to a central point for a cuppa tea etc! Draw another card from a fresh deck of cards. You keep it on your person! (Total - now two cards).

4. Leg number 2 - Repeat process above to a different airfield. (Total - now Three cards) - Must have a toilet to de-fuel the above cuppa!

5. Leg number 3 - Repeat process above (Total - now Four cards)

6. Fly back to Starting point, draw the last card.

7. Play your hand.

Each card has a score value - so highest score wins etc etc - Winner takes it all (No previous poker experience necessary)
